Among the Fixed Deposit (FD) schemes of State Bank of India, Amrit Kalash Fixed Deposit Plan (SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme) has attracted the attention of many people.
Amrit Kalash Special FD Scheme launched by Bank of India was launched by SBI on February 15, 2023. But this scheme, which was earlier only till August 15, has been extended a couple of times due to customer demand. But now this scheme is open till December 31. This is a happy thought.

In SBI’s 400-day Amrit Kalash scheme, TDS will be deducted on the interest received by customers. Now, the interest money is transferred to the customer account instead of continuing in the deposit itself. You can get interest even monthly. Or customers have the opportunity to get interest once in three months or once in half a year. Even if TDS is deducted for interest money, deduction claim can be made while filing IT returns.

Amrit Kalash Scheme is a 400 days deposit scheme. Also everyone who has deposited in it will get maximum interest. Under this scheme, the general SBI customers will get Rs. 7.1 and per cent for senior citizens. 7.6 percent interest has been given.

What is SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme? How will it benefit the customer?

The scheme is named as Amrit Kalash as it is of 400 days duration.

• Amrit Kalash FD Scheme launched by State Bank of India is like any other Fixed Deposit. Offers good interest rates.
• But the only difference is in the duration and interest rate of this scheme.
• The deposit period is 400 days.
• Per cent for this period deposit for general customers. 7.1% interest is earned.
• And per cent for senior citizen deposit. 7.6% interest is paid.

Other benefits offered in SBI Amrit Kalash FD Scheme are as follows:

• This 400 days special FD scheme of State Bank of India is available not only for Indians but also for NRI customers.
• Total amount less than Rs 2 crores can be deposited.
• Interest from this deposit is available once a month or once in three months or once in six months. This interest money is deposited into the customer’s account.

Amrit Kalash Scheme also has a special deposit option where the interest money gets lumped together when the deposit matures.
Tax Deducted at Source is deducted on the interest money received by the Amrit Kalash Deposit Scheme. There is also an option to get this refunded while filing the IT return.
A low interest rate loan can be availed from FD placed in Amrit Kalash Scheme.
