The ‘Shree Shakti’ scheme was introduced in the state in the year 2000-01 for the economic and social empowerment of women. In a total of 176 taluks, both urban and rural areas, women’s empowerment groups were established.
Women must cultivate self-confidence, preserve our cultural handicrafts and skilled craftsmanship, and enhance them. This is the goal of this scheme. Alongside shouldering family responsibilities, women are encouraged to boost their self-confidence. The Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, has been tirelessly working for women’s empowerment and self-reliance. As a symbolic gesture of devotion to women’s empowerment, during these nine auspicious days of Navaratri, she is extending her support to women in every possible way.
Women should lead an independent life. Just like men, women too should cultivate courage and self-confidence. This is the aim of this scheme. Please share this article with all your friends, relatives, and well-wishers to spread this valuable information. Thank you.
