Education fund for children of taxi and auto drivers. Students will get 3 to 11 thousand scholarships

Applications are invited online for scholarships under the ‘Vidyanidhi‘ scheme to promote post-matric higher education of children of yellow board taxi and auto drivers of the state.

The government has issued an order for the implementation of the ‘Vidyanidhi’ scheme and health facility to promote post-matric higher education for the children of yellow board taxi and auto drivers in the state.

Who are eligible for Vidyanidhi Scholarship

Those admitted to PUC, Diploma, ITI, Degree, LLB, Para Medical, B Pharm, Nursing, MBBS, BE, B.Tech and all post-graduate courses in the educational institutions officially registered in Karnataka are eligible for this scheme.

How much for which course?

Pre-Graduation: PUC, ITI, Diploma Rs 2,500,000 for boys, Rs 3,000 for girls.

All Graduation: Rs 5,000 for boys, Rs 5,500 for girls.

LLB, Para Medical, B.Pharm, Nursing: Rs 7,500 thousand for boys, Rs 8 thousand for girls.

MBBS, BE, BTech: Rs 10,000 for boys, Rs 11,000 for girls.

Vidyadhan Scholarship: 15 to 60 thousand will be given to students with disabilities who have passed the 12th standard.

Who is eligible for Vidya nidhi scholarship?
Drivers should be residents of Karnataka. Yellow Board Taxi and Autorickshaw drivers with current driving licenses in Sarathi Software to drive motor cab/ autorickshaw cab categories vehicles in any regional, sub-regional transport offices of the state.

All children of drivers’ families are eligible for the scholarship. A student from a driver’s family is eligible for the scholarship even if he is receiving other scholarships.

In the scheme, children of drivers are eligible for scholarships if both parents are drivers & are registered in the data of ‘Sarathi software.
