Three candidates contested an election and received 1136, 7636, and 11628 votes respectively. What percentage of the total votes did the winning candidate get?

Solution

Three candidates contested an election and received 1136,7636 and 11628.
Total number of votes polled
=(1136+7636+11628 )=20400
So,
required percentage
= 11628 / 20400 ×100=57%

The sum of three numbers 1: 2: 3 is the sum of the 750 numbers of those three numbers?

Solution:-

Let the number be 1x + 2x + 3x= 750

6x= 750

x= 750/6

x= 125

Sum of the square of the Three numbers

1) x= 125

2) 2x= 2 X 125= 250

3) 3x= 3 X 125= 375

125² + 250² + 375²

=15,625 + 62,500+1,40,625=2,18,750

Pipes A and B can fill a tank in 5 and 6 hours respectively. Pipe C can empty it in 30 hours. If all the three pipes are opened together, then the tank will be filled in:

Net part filled in 1 hour
= 1/5 + 1/6- 1/30
Here you need to find out LCM of 5,6 and 30
So LCM=30.
Then
You will get
= 6+5-1/30
=10/30
=1/3
Time Taken to fill the tank = 1/1/30
= 3 hours.
So answer is 3 hours.

At what rate percentage on simple interest will be Rs 750 amount to Rs 900 in 5 years.

Solution:
Simple interest= 900-750
= 150
Rate of interest
Rate= 150X100 / 750X5
= 4%.

Solution

We have C.P. = Rs 27.50
S.P. = Rs. 28.60
Gain = 28.60 – 27.50 = Rs 1.10
Profit percentage
=1.10 / 27.50×100
=4%
